An amin, C6H5NH2, from coal-tar and indigo; poisonous and nervine.
Phenylamin. C6H5.NH2. An oily liquid prepared from the products of coal tar. Its sulphate is used in nervous diseases and in cholera. Many artificial dyes, including indigo, are prepared from anilin.
