A solid metal of a shining white appearance; insipid; inodorous; highly sonorous; malleable and ductile; somewhat hard; crystallizable in triangular pyramids; fusible a little above a red heat, and volatizable; s. g. 10.4. Not used in medicine, unless in some places for silvering pills. Silver Leaf, Argentum foliatum, is the state in which it is used for this purpose.
