-
A substance presumed to be an alkaloid by Serturner, who separated it from cinchona. It has been supposed to be a mixture of quinia, cinchonia, and a peculiar resinous matter, but according to Liebig it is simply the alkaloid quinia in an amorphous state-amorphous quinia.
