-
A painful affection of the penis, attending gonorrhoea, and happening chiefly at night. It occurs when the violence of the inflammation is such, that the urethra cannot expand as much as the corpora cavernosa during erection, and consequently the glans seems painfully drawn downwards. The application of cold water topically, and the administration of opium internally, palliate it.
