Such are the B. prodigiosus, B. indicus, and B. ruber, producing a red pigment; the B. pyocyaneus, B. fluorescens putidus, B. fluorescens liquefaciens, B. erythrosporus, and others, producing a green pigment; the B. cyanogenus, producing a blue pigment; the B. fuscus and B. mesentericus fuscus, producing a brown pigment; and the B. luteus, B. luteus suis, and others, producing a yellow pigment.
