Clinical. Clinique, Clin'icum, is also used substantively for Ecole Clinique or Clinical School: a school in which medicine is taught by examining diseases on the patients themselves, at the bed-side, as it were. Thus, the French say, -"La Clinique de la Charite," "The Clinical School of the Hospital la Charite." The term has been introduced into this country, and anglicised Clinic.
