Serving to depolarize. D. agent, a depolarizer. D. method, a method of applying electricity in which one of the electrodes is a D. electrode, i.e., has a resistance greater than that of the portion of the body included in the circuit. The neutral point in the circuit is thus thrown entirely outside of the body and the latter is subjected solely to the action of the other electrode and of the battery-pole connected with it.
