A Spanish dramatist of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. His works, published under the general title "Farces and Eclogues in the Pastoral Style and Manner" (1514), consist of six pastoral dramas in his native Castilian dialect: three religious, the others pictures of actual pastoral life, with shepherds acting simply and discoursing in their naive way.
