Nat. Ord. Zygophylleae. A south African plant, a decoction of whose leaves is a good external remedy in tinea capitis, crusta serpiginosa, necrosis and foul ulcers. It is also useful as a gargle and lotion in sore throat and diseases of the gums. The bruised leaves applied to ulcers promote granulation.
