An American clergyman and writer, son of John A.; born in New York city, Nov. 1, 1827; rector of Trinity parish. New York city, since Nov. 10, 1862. His publications include: "Essay on Christian Art" (1853); "Memoirs of John Adams Dix" (1883); "The Gospel and Philosophy, Six Lectures" (1886); and two vols. of "Sermons" (1878-86). Died April 29, 1908.
