(1340 -1391 ) and Antonio, were Venetian navigators who visited Greenland and Newfoundland about 1380 or 1390, and are said to have navigated the coast of North America as far south as Virginia. The accounts written by Zeno were, partially destroyed and their authenticity was doubted. Subsequent researches have strengthened belief in their authenticity. Zeno's map of Greenland and the northern coast of North America shows considerable accuracy.
