Spanish broom. Ord. Leguminoaae. A small European shrub, cultivated in the gardens of the United States, on account of its yellow flowers. The seeds are diuretic and tonic, in small doses; emetic and cathartic in large. They have been used in dropsy -10 or 15 grains three times a day.
